Two Scarfs finished! :D Etsy shop in affect! ATC?!?!

I finished these two scarfs. Got my paypal and etsy in a happy place, and now have them posted there along with my two hat scarf sets.

Here is the shop!

ATC? What is ATC you say?

ATC means Artist Trading Cards. The link that further explains them is here.

My examples? :D I DO HAVE THEM!

Glue is still drying on some but they are getting done :D

Here we have Glass Eyed Joe the googly eye monster.

Here is Shy guy Sam and Ugly Stew the other googly monsters.

Here is a finished Mario ATC, but the m on the hat is still drying.

Here is a "Retro" big button tunic ATC, the boobs have since been adjusted and the glue is still trying. I just finished it.

What do you think? :D

Accidental hat XD

Okay so this was supposed to be a scarf, and I was freehanding it but it turned out too wide so I started a k2tog until I had 6 stitches and made it into a hat. Its soft and fuzzy and warm XD like fur!

Tribbles! They are everywhere! Invading the airducts!

So I discovered the most amusing thing at the dollar tree the other day. They were selling strange space creatures that reproduce at a speed light.

At a first glance its a harmless yarn.. but when the label comes off...which many of them have...!

"They reproduce at will. And brother, have they got a lot of will!"

TRIBBLES. ALL OVER MY DOLLAR TREE!

Here is an example of the specimen I brought home. He's going to be worked with his brothers into a hopefully harmless scarf. But lordy if the scarf reproduces.

Tangerine for penpal

This is a tangerine I made for my penpal, isn't it cute. Its so little!

Kitty Cone! Orange Sherbet

Okay so it wasn't originally intended to be a kitty. It really wasn't. My friend had requested a amigurumi orange sherbet, in trade for some sculpy made stitch markers. I made her this. I put the face on it.. and felt it needed kitty ears. XD They are entirely removeable if she hates them but they are so cute.

Charms, cont.

I spent forever hand drilling a hole into this toy japanese tea cup xD

Stupid awful pictures. These are realistic avacado rolls with avacado slices in the middle.

I'm not exactly sure what these are.

Nothing better than hokkaido crab sushi

This is a nice tamago sushi. Egg over rice. I am keeping this one.

This is a shrimp over rice, with a pickled ginger rose to the side. This will be a gift.

Man I wish I had better pictures.

Sushi charms, yay

I'm not sure why the small images aren't loading that great from any camera.

This is my salmon roll sushi, the first one I've made. I made a bunch since then but I need to find a way to take a better picture. The sushi's are about 2 milimeters tall and look very realistic.

They will be sold for $7.50 each

Christmas presents again: Rave hat warm

A rave colored hat for my niece. Followed the same ribbing pattern as before but editted it to make it "trendy" .. ;p my middle neice is a style hoar.

Hats for charity: Hat 1

Using three pieces of yarn at once instead of thick and chunky yarn, I used this pattern and made a hat. I altered it a little, instead of pompoms I put a huge decorative button, and instead of hemming the sides to it, I used two wide and easy to manipulate buttons in.

Love the world: Another kaboodle. Please read!

There are some times of the year you want to just give and give. Your heart fills and it overflows to people.

This is one of those times for me, and I want to share this joy with you. There are two places in particular I want you to look at.

Here is the classic salvation army kettle with a twist. Its online, and I'm collecting for the greater good.

Here is a great place, and something I'm desiring to take active participation in. I called and they have a great need for knitted hats and scarfs. This is the "Adopt a Native Elder" program, for elderly native americans that can no longer take care of themselves.

Care packages are a great thing to fill peoples lives with joy. Does anyone want to join me in this? :D

Colorful Hat: To match colorful scarf

Well I finished it. The first knit hat I've done in a long time. The pattern was really simple and easy. You have find it here.

Ow my fingers ache.

"What is plarn again?" a random craft

Everyone is always wondering what to do with all those leftover grocery bags. They never make it to the recycling bin, and pile up in the closet. You can use them for pet refuse, lunches, trash bags, and yet there are more!

Well here is a good thing to do, for all you crafty knitters and crocheters.

MAKE PLARN.

Yes, yarn out of plastic bags. Here it teaches you how, and if you wander around the site there are lots of patterns for totes.

Reading here it tells you it can be used the same as worsted weight, but I suggest you don't do anything that requires a lot of tight knit/crochet shaping. I tried to make an ice cream cone with beige and white plarn and the cone looked a little funny on the tip.

And to show you what plarn looks like, here are my two rolls.

On that note, see what you can come up with on recycled products. You can make yarn out of cassette and vhs tape, t-shirts, leftover fabric, anything really.

And thats my how to of the week.

Colorful Scarf, freehand experiment

I got to finally use my expensive handspun yarn in a fun project.

This used my "Sari" handspun yarn, a roll and a half of AutumnLeaves Incredible ribbon yarn, and a pine green worsted weight yarn, on size 50 needles.

Handspun is above

The shiny incredible ribbon yarn

Some slightly blurry pictures of the scarf. I'll get a better one soon with my moms camera.

And thats what I did today. I dunno whether I'll sell this or not, I had fun making it.

Finished Crazy Coffee

My brown yarns got here and I finally was able to finish the top of Kati's coffee cup. Hurray!

You can see it!

She wanted to see a size comparison so here it is.

And thats another project finished.

Dec. 10th, 2008

Mixing it up. A bit of kaboodle!

My gourmet late night snack.

Sweet potato chips, two kinds, cinnamon and sea salt. Gouda cheese, sugar snap peas. And finishing with smoked wild caught lox salmon on a cuban cracker coated with cream cheese.

I have the worst problem with a champagne appetite and a beer budget.

Dec. 9th, 2008

Pika-chew goes "pika pika"

Finished this christmas present for one of my nieces. Thats one out of three nieces down. ;3

The tail was incredibly hard to finish. The pattern was based off a cat but I kind of had to take it and run with it in parts.

Cats don't have zig zaggy tails XD

Crazy cup is crazy (not done)

This is a christmas gift for my friend Kati to send with her scarf. Its not finished yet but I took some pics as I have to wait till I get brown yarn.

I got the pattern here

She wanted a -o3o- type of face on it.

Its not stuffed yet so some of the body isn't there

I'll finish by making the "coffee" top, and stuffing it with polyester cotton and coffee beans
